Meet Your ADHD & Autism Therapist
Hello! My name is Erica, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Substance Use Disorder Professional in Washington State. I also hold my LCSW, and CACD III, in Oregon State, my LCSW in Colorado State, as well as my Master Addiction Counselor, national credential. I completed my Bachelors of Science in Social Work at Warner Pacific University & My Masters of Social Work at Texas State University. I also have an Associate of Arts in Addiction Counseling from Clark College. I've been working in behavioral health for approximately twelve years and have a passion for working with individuals and families on the autism spectrum and related neurodivergent identities.
I use an eclectic approach to therapy that is inclusive, trauma-informed, and individualized to your personal needs and preferences, and I use therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
I work with clients who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma responses, chronic pain/illness, disordered eating, substance use disorders, and body image concerns stemming from untreated, and masked Autism and/or ADHD. Together, we'll create a treatment plan to address symptoms and build skills to cope.
I am LGBTQIA+ allied and affirming of diverse gender expressions. I am sex-positive, and affirming of polyamorous, and non-monogamous relationships. I understand the socially-constructed nuances that contribute to women and people of color being underdiagnosed. Lastly, I recognize you as the expert in your own life, and use a collaborative approach to identify tools that are authentic to you.
When I am not seeing clients, you can find me trail running, cycling, or backpacking. I love spending time outdoors in the PNW, or cozy by the fire reading fantasy or horror novels. My pets, including a big fluffy white cat, and my two Frenchies may join our sessions.

A Word About Prosody:
"Prosody" is a word that refers to the rhythm, pattern, and intonation of speech. For autistic folks, our prosody of speech may have been understood as a deficit, an indicator of pathology, or a problem implying we do not fit in with the norm. At Prosody Mental Health, we believe that not only are our distinctive prosodic features not indicative of a problem, but it can be a cool way of in-group signaling. We may recognize the speech patterns of other autistic folks, and note our kinship, rather than our difference. We also like the word, because it can be a fun to repeat when engaging in echolalia, or the repetition of words & phrases, once thought to be meaningless, but actually having a ton of meaning for the autistic community. Feel free to ask me more if interested!
